CLEAN

Syntax

/MemoServ clean

Alias for purge


DELETE

Syntax

/MemoServ delete [number]


Parameters
[number]: Number of the memo to delete

Removes memo with number number from your memo box. Alternatively, you can specify all to remove all memos.

Example: Remove memo 14 from your memo box

/MemoServ delete 14

Example: Remove all memos from your memo box

/MemoServ delete all

 


FORWARD

 

Syntax

/MemoServ forward [nick] [password]

 


Parameters
[nick]: Nickname to forward your memos to
[password]: Password for that nickname

Forward all memos for your current nick to nick. To make sure that both nicks are yours, you must also specifiy the password for nick.


Example: Forward all your memos to OtherNick which has password secret.

/MemoServ forward OtherNick secret

 


LIST

Syntax

/MemoServ list
Lists all messages in your memo box.

 


Example: Display the contents of your memo box

/MemoServ list

 


MBLOCK

Syntax

/MemoServ mblock [nick]

 

Parameters
[nick] (optional): Nickname to add or remove

Blocks any future memos sent by nick. Prepend a minus sign to the nickname to unblock someone. Without any parameters this command will display your current block list.

Example: Add BadUser to your block list

/MemoServ mblock BadUser

Example: Shows who is currently on your block list

/MemoServ mblock

Example: Remove BadUser from your block list

/MemoServ mblock -BadUser

 


NOMEMO

Syntax

/MemoServ nomemo [on|off]

 

Parameters

[on]: Disable memos
[off]: Enable memos

When this is set to on people cannot send you memos. This does not affect memos sent by network staff, however.

 

Example: Disable the memo service for your current nick

/MemoServ nomemo on

 


PURGE

Syntax

/MemoServ purge

Removes all messages marked for deletion from your memo box.

 

Example: Purge all deleted messages from your memo box
/MemoServ purge


READ

Syntax

/MemoServ read [number]

 


Parameters
[number]: Number of the memo to read

Displays the message with number number.

Example: Read memo number 14

/MemoServ read 14

 


SAVE

Syntax

/MemoServ save [number]

 

Parameters
[number]: Number of the memo to save

This will mark the message with number number as saved. A saved message will never expire, it can only be removed manually using the delete command.

Example: Save memo number 4

/MemoServ save 4

 


SEND

Syntax

/MemoServ send [nick] [message]

 

Parameters
[nick]: Nickname to send the memo to
[message]: Message to send

Sends the memo message to nick.

Example: Send the message Hello, world! to SomeNick.

/MemoServ send SomeNick Hello, world!

 


SENDAOP

Syntax

/MemoServ sendaop [channel] [message]

 

Parameters
[channel]: Channel to send the memo to
[message]: Message to send

Sends the memo message to all channel operators of the channel [channel].

Example: Send the message Hello, world! to all operators of #world

/MemoServ sendaop #world Hello, world!

 


SENDVOP

Syntax

/MemoServ sendvop [channel] [message]

 

Parameters
[channel]: Channel to send the memo to
[message]: Message to send

Sends the memo message to everyone with at least access level 3 in the channel [channel].

Example: Send the message Hello, world! to all operators and auto-voices of #world

/MemoServ sendvop #world Hello, world!

 


UNSEND

Syntax

/MemoServ unsend [number]

 

Parameters
[number] (optional): Number of the memo to unsend

Cancels the already sent memo with number number. Without any arguments this command lists all memos that have not been read and therefore can be canceled.

Example: List all memos you sent that have not been read yet

/MemoServ unsend

Example: Cancel memo number 14.

/MemoServ unsend 14
