About SorceryNet

SorceryNet is an IRC network operated by volunteer administrators and staff. By connecting to the network or using our website/services (including NickServ/ChanServ), you agree to these terms.

Acceptable Use

• Be respectful. Harassment, hate speech, targeted abuse, and illegal content are prohibited.
• No spam or mass advertising. Do not advertise in unrelated channels or via unsolicited PMs.
• Use IRC for conversation. Do not use the network to distribute malware, run botnets, or violate the law.
• Server rules apply. Individual servers may publish additional rules in their MOTD.

Violations may result in removal from the network or other technical measures at our discretion.

Accounts & Identity

• You are responsible for activity performed under your nick/account.
• Keep your credentials secure. If you suspect compromise, reset and contact staff.
• Username/channel registrations may be reclaimed for long-term inactivity or abuse prevention.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect (email and connecting IP addresses), why, and your rights. We do not sell data, share it outside SorceryNet, or use third-party services that access it.

Content & Liability

• Channels and conversations are user-generated. SorceryNet does not moderate all content and is not responsible for user conduct.
• Services are provided “as is” without warranties. We strive for high uptime but do not guarantee availability.
• We may cooperate with lawful requests from competent authorities consistent with applicable law.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to any part of the network or services at any time for abuse, security concerns, or operational reasons.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Updates will be posted here with a new date and may be announced on-network.
